Este 1 de Mayo SOA Watch se une en solidaridad con las comunidades trabajadoras alrededor del mundo y con quienes desde sus espacios buscan construir un lugar mejor y más justo. Desde distintos rincones de las Américas nos sumamos a las voces que demandan el fin de la criminalización de los movimientos sociales y de las comunidades de color, que exigen el fin a las redadas y deportaciones en contra de las personas migrantes y refugiadas, y que luchan contra la explotación laboral que no distingue nacionalidades.
La explotación de nuestras comunidades, dentro y fuera de los Estados Unidos, es el resultado de distintas formas de dominación capitalista, promovidas por el egoísmo, el odio, el racismo, y la xenofobia. Ante la explotación que beneficia la ganancia de pocos sobre la vida humana debemos responder con solidaridad, con la conciencia del bien común y de las acciones que siguen esa conciencia.
¡Las acciones del 1 de Mayo son una oportunidad para demandar dignidad y respeto para la gente de las Américas!
Unidos podemos exigir el fin a los sistemas que perpetúan la explotación, el sexismo, la homofobia, la transfobia, el racismo, la islamofobia y la violencia en contra de las comunidades indígenas.
Unidos podemos exigir el fin a las deportaciones masivas en los Estados Unidos. Unidos podemos exigir el fin al sistema de Encarcelamiento Masivo y a sus prácticas de criminalización. Unidos podemos proteger la tierra, sus recursos y a quienes les defienden.
Unidos podemos oponernos al entrenamiento de soldados latinoamericanos en la Escuela de las Américas, a la militarización de nuestras comunidades y a la intervención estadounidense, política y económica, en las Américas.
Para algunas comunidades de las Américas el 1 de Mayo marcaba la celebración de la primavera y del nacimiento: era el tiempo tradicional para plantar nuevas semillas en la tierra vieja. Que sean las semillas de nuestra resistencia las que crezcan y alimenten las luchas de nuestros hermanas y hermanos alrededor del mundo. Honremos la memoria de quienes lucharon por crear un mundo más justo.

This May Day SOA Watch joins in solidarity withthe working communities around the worldand with those who seek to build a better and more just place. From different spaces of the Americas, we join with the voices calling for anend to the criminalization of social movements and communities of color. We join the call for anend to the raids and deportations against migrant and refugee people, and to the call tofight against international labor exploitation.
The exploitation of our communities, inside and outside the United States, is the result of different forms of capitalist domination, promoted by selfishness, hatred, racism, and xenophobia. In the face of exploitation that benefits the gains of a few above human life, we must respond with solidarity, with the awareness of common good and the actions that follow that consciousness.
May Day actions are an opportunity to demand dignity and respect for the people of the Americas!
United we can demand an end to the systems that perpetuate exploitation, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, racism, Islamophobia and violence against indigenous communities. United we can demand an end to massive deportations in the United States and Méx. United we can demand the end to the system of mass incarceration and its practices of criminalization. United we can protect the land, its resources and those who defend them.
United we can oppose the training of Latin American soldiers in the School of the Americas, the militarization of our communities, and US political and economic intervention in the Americas.
For some communities in the Americas, May 1 marked the celebration of spring and birth: it was the traditional time to plant new seeds in the old land. May the seeds of our resistance be the ones that grow and nourish the struggles of our sisters and brothers around the world. Let us honor the memory of those who fought to create a more just world.
